How to Interpret Your Search Results
After you search for a relevant keyword, you will be presented with the following results.
- Avg – This is the number of monthly searches that keyword has.
- QSR (Quoted Search Results) – This is the number of competing websites. You typically want a smaller number here. 100 or less is ideal
- KQI (Keyword Quality Index) – Green is Great, Yellow is Ok, Red is Poor (Aim for Green)
- SEO Score– This determines whether or not a keyword is a good candidate for getting SEO rankings. The higher this number the better! Scale is 1-100… so think of it like a grade.
Example of Results
Keyword = “how to ride a bike”
In the example below, you can see that “how to ride a bike” is NOT a good keyword… however “How to ride a sport bike” is much better. Notice the QSR is below 100 (only 51 competing websites) and the SEO score is 94.
