This post for anyone who is interested in or wants more information about participating in paid surveys. Today we are going to discuss MySurvey. So, what is MySurvey about and do people really make money with it?
In this review, I will answer those questions and give you a little more details about the reality of making money with MySurvey.
I have not been a member of this site very long, but so far it seems legit and people are making a bit of pocket change with this site. My fear is that making a full time living here would be virtually impossible. But if you are just looking to have a little extra spending money for a date night, then this is definitely an option.

What is MySurvey?
MySurvey is yet another Survey site that pays you to answer surveys. They work alot like the other survey sites out there, however they don’t pay cash (only Paypal or other rewards). Now Paypal is technically money, so it actually is possible to “make money” here. But they don’t write you a check or direct deposit cash into your bank account.
Like a lot of sites that offer surveys for people to take, MySurvey offers surveys that you may or may not be qualified for. So after answering a few questions, you might be disqualified based on your ethnicity or location. This has always frustrated me and I prefer sites like Paid Viewpoint that only give you surveys that you are qualified to take. This wastes less of my time and as we all know, time is money.
My Survey is free to sign up and has a super simple interface. I appreciate the website layout because there are a few sites out there that are designed terribly and are impossible to navigate. You won’t have a problem finding the surveys on this site.
Sign Up For Free and Then What?
After you sign up, you are asked to confirm your email address. Once you do that, you are taken to the main home page where you can begin to fill out the profile surveys. These are quick little surveys that are meant to help match surveys to you in the future.
There are several main surveys available immediately, but you will want to log in everyday to see if there are more. This is the best way to accumulate points faster.
From what I can tell, taking surveys is the only way to make money on this site. Other sites, like Swagbucks or Inbox Dollars have multiple ways for you to earn points or money.
This isn’t necessarily a bad thing however. I like logging into a site and completing the tasks quickly and then moving on to another site. It makes more use of my time. So only having to complete a few surveys when I log in is fine with me.
Types of Surveys and Compensation
Once inside MySurveys, you have the option of completing a survey or a mini poll. A mini poll is a simple one question survey that earns you about 10 points. The main surveys, also known as Top Priority Surveys are where the real points are at. They are typically about 50 points each.
Here’s a quick breakdown of the types of surveys on MySurveys
- Mini Poll (easy one question survey that you can do once a day)
- Lifestyle Surveys (These are like “get to know you/profile” surveys. You only do these once)
- Your Lifestyle (Do you smoke? Phone usage? Do you own a home?)
- Your Finances (Do you have a credit card or bank account?)
- Your Work Life (Employment status, Job responsibilities)
- What you drive (Primary and secondary automobile)
- Your Health (Are you suffering from any condition/disease? Health Insurance Questions)
- Top Priority Surveys – these are worth points (usually 50) and take anywhere from 10 – 20 minutes.
How Do You Get Paid?
MySurveys pays you in the form of rewards. The more points you accumulate, the more rewards you are eligible for. Most of the rewards are gift cards, magazines, charities, or Paypal. For instance, 1200 points gets you $10 in Paypal.
Some of the gift cards available are from merchants such as Applebees, CVS, TGI Fridays, Marshalls, etc. It’s similar to the way Swagbucks works.
I did notice a pop up that said something about a glitch in their point system that is making it take up to 4 weeks for points to be added once a survey has been successfully completed. I don’t know when this will be fixed or if they even plan on fixing it.
Can Anyone Join?
MySurvey is only open to people who live in the United States, so other countries are not allowed. I’m assuming this is because of the way they payout (via Paypal) and their gift card system.
Members must be over 16 years of age or have their parents consent in order to earn points on MySurvey.
It is best to have a Paypal account since this is one of the ways that you can “cash out.” If you don’t have a Paypal account, I can tell you that it is super easy to set up.
Final Thoughts – Is MySurvey Worth Your Time?
In my opinion, MySurvey is a good website if you are only interested in making a little extra cash or getting a gift card every now and then. However, the time it takes to accumulate enough points (1000 minimum) is not worth it.
